I also have a step-father that I love very much, because my natural father passed away when I was seven. I don't refer to him as my step-father because he never referred to me as his step-daughter. To avoid confusing people, I often say my "natural father" and my "father." Holidays such as today make it hard to be away that's for sure.
Cute post. I had to celebrate my dads birthday and fathers day with him the night before I left but I am glad that I was able to talk to him and my family.
